The slides from the talk I gave at Percona Live San Francisco yesterday are now available on slideshare (hopefully the embed works here too):

Overall, I enjoyed the conference–not just meeting up folks I don’t see often enough, but also getting a renewed sense of how active the MySQL ecosystem really is.

About Jeremy Zawodny

I'm a software engineer and pilot. I work at craigslist by day, hacking on various bits of back-end software and data systems. As a pilot, I fly Glastar N97BM, Just AirCraft SuperSTOL N119AM, Bonanza N200TE, and high performance gliders in the northern California and Nevada area. I'm also the original author of "High Performance MySQL" published by O'Reilly Media. I still speak at conferences and user groups on occasion.

are you mirroring fusionio cards, or using a single card per server? i could see an argument either way.

Nice analysis (thanks for posting) … so is this all based on the FOSS MySQL? Also, would PHP help or hurt vs perl?

I’ve been scratching my head trying to recall what the cause of the memcached degradation was from your talk. I’m about to reduce from 10x 16GB machines down to 6x 72GB machines and I’m worried I might get hit with the same issue you described. What exactly what the problem/solution you came across?

We can get the access of Fusion-io and MySQL 5.5 at Craigslist which is very important topic in MySQL. Students who are new in the learning process of MySQL must see the all slides which contain that page which help to understand the relation of Fusion-io and MySQL. For I have a wesite which is http://www.0net.me/ that site have valuable content related to database, Domain names etc.
